11 Februari 2012 jam 3.55 petang, berakhirnya riwayat seorang Diva, Queen of Pop. Whitney 48, menghembuskan nafas terakhir di dalam biliknya di tingkat empat di Hotel Beverly Hilton, Los Angeles.
Aku masih ingat lagi lakonannya dalam filem The Bodyguard (1992) bersama Kevin Costner. Waktu ni aku dan dia sedang bercinta. Kaset soundtrack The Bodyguard pun aku ada. Memang top filem tu. Lepas tu keluar pula filem Melayu lakonan Erra Fazira dan Hans Isaac.
Whitney pernah menghasilkan tujuh album termasuk Whitney Houston (1985), Whitney (1987), I'm Your Baby Tonight (1990), My Love Is Your Love (1998), Just Whitney (2002), One Wish: The Holiday Album (2003) dan I Look To You (2010). Rekod jualan album beliau melebihi 170 juta unit. Whitney turut dinobatkan sebagai pemilik anugerah paling banyak iaitu sebanyak 415 pengiktirafan termasuk 30 trofi anugerah Billboard dan 22 trofi American Music Awards.
Salah satu lagu latest favourite aku adalah Could I Have This Kiss Forever duet bersama Enrique Iglesias.
